SIM Community Safety Manager
SIM started as a project with the Met Police and the Violence Reduction Unit at the Mayor’s Office: a system that connects the people who respond to serious violence with police control rooms. It went live across London in April 2023, and now also helps NHS organisations keep staff safe and informed when incidents happen.
SIM Coworking
Built on the same platform, SIM Coworking lets coworking spaces, makerspaces and NHS estates manage bookings for rooms, equipment and vehicles — with payments, credit accounts, events and rewards built in.
How we work
Discovery and user research come first. We follow the GDS Service Standard and deliver in agile, iterative steps — using journey mapping, personas and prototypes to test ideas early and often — so every product evolves with real-world feedback. Research and insight sit at the heart of it.
Technology and security
We are Cyber Essentials certified and test our platforms rigorously. We deploy on Amazon Web Services, build front ends in Angular and back ends in .NET, connect systems through RESTful APIs, manage identity and single sign-on with AWS Cognito, and report from optimised SQL databases.
